Way better than rain, and a good omen for days to come.

Have you made your plans for Tremblant this week?

It's Snow!!!
*********

We've been calling for orographic snowfall to happen
at Tremblant for the last 24 hours or so, and we think that's
occurring on the North right now.

When the temps are this close to freezing at the South Base, typically,
the Summit will be 4 to 5 degrees C colder, so that being the case, what
we could be seeing here is the Westerly wind pushing moist warm air
right up the Taschereau/Soleil sector where it is contacting the cold
air masses above the summit, causing condensation and Snowfall which
is primarily being blown over the North!

We'll take that any day!, but especially on April 5th!

Please Note, there are a lot of progressives on the list
this morning, so if you're on the Mountain today, things
could be changing by the minute.

Lets take a little closer look at the weather for today and the
rest of the week. The temperature has gone down a degree
as of mid-morning and there are scattered snowshowers
forecasted for later today.

The well into sub-zero overnight lows are going to give us those
daily transitional Winter/Spring firm with early morning possible
icy spots that will soften beginning in mid-morning and, depending
on the amount of heat generated, could produce soft corn snow on
the lower South.

The Summit and the North could see stable winter-like conditions
with excellent Machine Groomed Powder, right up to closing day
on Sunday.

You will have "Best Results" with freshly tuned edges and wax
or base coating appropriate for the temp range.

Page under evolutionary construction as more evidence
becomes available, but the bottom line here is that this
is one extraordinary "Spring" and if you can make it to
Tremblant...

Go...
Go...
Go !!!

Just a real shame with the abundant snow base and even this little snow event that might touch up a surface or two, there has been no feedback or replies to the potential opportunity of an extended season.. With smaller hills in the area and larger resorts all over the east excited to greet loyal skiers and riders to an extended season, looks like Tremblant has no intention of such a thing.... Hope im wrong :(

Sorry we can't help on that one PowderSC, way out of our scope.

We're just thankful for every single day on the slopes, so until
we hear differently, we'll be out there 'till the scheduled end
and you can bet on us to be there for "Last Run".
