55(*) Open Trails on the Classically "Spring" Tremblant!
We say "Classic" because it is a typical weather scenario that includes
overnight sub-zero of about -10C and a super sunny late afternoon high
temp of +10 C. That's a 20 degree C spread, so we're going to see
completely distinct condition's from one end of the day to the other.
No kidding, eh?
Bring your sunscreen 'cause yer gunna fry yer lips off!
In case you live under a rock at Tremblant, you may not have heard
about the potential of another weekend being added to the
season, but it's true. This is subject to confirmation and pending weather
factors that will allow such opening.
Further, the Open terrain will be South Side only, and access will be
via the Flying Mile and TGV Quad Chairs.
We'll have more on that as it becomes available.
In the mean-time we can tell you for a fact that Le Griffe and
Sissy Schuss are 2 examples of the absolute artistry of the
Tremblant Mountain Crews because we were there riding along
in one of the Tremblant BR350 Groomers on the Evening Shift. It was a thrill to have that privilege. After almost 40 years of
"Downhill Skiing" we got to go "Uphill Grooming"... Wow!
Our sincere thanks and appreciation to the "Mountain Operations"
dept. and all their talented staff for this opportunity.
The purpose of this ride-along Grooming project is to add quality
information for those readers who are keen on understanding more
about the huge logistical support that goes into the daily production
of the fine, high quality Alpine Snow surfaces that make Tremblant such
a great place to Ski and Board. We'll be working on more Forum and
Blog content over time, but we'll include a couple of pic. samples from
last eve. here today.
Heading out for the Evening Shift cruising up Beauvallon on the way
over the top of the Summit to the assignment for our machine on
La Griffe, Sissy Schuss and Beauchemin.
Finishing up the final touches on Sissy Schuss, one of the finest
learning, cruising and carving practice runs on Planet Earth which
was initially cut in 1948. What a classic! Ton's going on today, so will have(Lord Willing), big Apres Ski today...
hope to see you then.

http://www.tremblant.ca This will be the final weekend you can Ski or Board the North
until late next November. Grab your Skis, Jamb your Board in the vehicle, and head
for Tremblant right now if you can. These exceptionally
fine conditions do not happen every year and they are so good
that you'd be crazy to miss them if you can be here.
