3/18/14 #Tremblant Conditions

Post by T360 »

86(*) Open Trails on 3 Very Crisp Sides of Tremblant.

Mother Nature continues to “Bless” us with more Pure Winter
Temps and Cryogenically Treated Snow Surfaces at -26 C.

The CRAZY Part Is… it’s supposed to rise up to -2C within 6 hours!
… a remarkable 24 degrees C rise!

Todays Primary Weather Factor…

The Sign Says It All !

The amount of Grip and Lateral Traction on the Groomed Trails will be
astounding. Repeated cycles of Grooming gets you increased uniformity
of Shreddable Top Layer Depth, Plus… increased uniformity of Snow
Particle Size and Fineness. With very low Traffic per Acre of daily wear
compared to March Break Numbers, the ultimate benefit for those
who can make it out is going to be All-Day Excellence in Very High
Performance Carving.

Talking about this Run or that Run, this Trail or that Trail is only going to
be a matter of personal preference because if you choose within your realistic
Skill Level, the 100% Total Surface coverage that we’ve had now for
about 2 straight months, means that you can not make a bad decision
conditions wise.

There may be the very odd slick or icy bit left over from previous
thermal or wind driven events, but they will be of such small
dimensions compared to the vast acreage that talking about them is
only the type of formality that has to be included as “perfect” only
exists in concept, so we need to acknowledge those tiny possibilities.

This is another case where with the peak March Break Traffic now gone,
even if there are tiny glitches, they will remain so on a day-to-day
basis as wear factors are almost insignificant.

Today, tomorrow, and quite possibly every day for the rest of this season are
going to be “30,000 Vertical Foot Days”(**).

Lapping at Tremblant on days like today...
will likely run you out of Muscle far sooner than run you out of time.

The Workout Value of days like today, particularly if you can string
a few of them together, will catapult your personal fitness level into
Olympic Level Endurance, and if properly supported with the appropriate
Nutritional Fuel, you will not only build serious Muscle and Enhanced Skills,
but your overall Health will be better for it by far.

(**) Years and Years ago… Skiing Snowbird Utah for a week.
Recognition was awarded to all those who Skied 100,000 Vertical
Feet in the week as calculated by the number of uploads you
had marked on your pass for the Base to Summit Ariel Tram.
For this significant achievement, you were awarded a Pin that
entitled you to all the associated Bragging Rights.

In these Conditions… Right Now...

You can do that at Tremblant in 3 Days.

Do you have the Muscle?

:) Bring Back The Memories... Research Future Visits...
If you would like to look up dates you visited Tremblant, or you
want to research days/weeks/months to visit, you can sample what
they look like historically, month by month, year by year.

GoTo: Archive, Search Reports by Date: Index: http://tinyurl.com/yktelmu

When reviewing dates from any of the past, numbered, archived pages,
you can use the "Previous Topic" or "Next Topic" buttons, located
screen far right, in upper date/message bar to scroll through sequential
dates, or use your browsers "back" button to stay on the selected index
page for non-sequential date reviews in either forward or reverse order.

There are approximately 6, 25 day Index pages per season.

( If you "Bookmark" the link above, it will always take you to the
First index page with the latest posts. That gives you an immediate,
current to 25 day past, review scroll of Winter Alpine Conditions by
consecutive date.)
