With any luck, you’re not reading this because you’re Skiing it!

Here is another repeat, this time on the Weather Graphic
we ran in last nights Apres Ski…

It would appear as though there was no precipitation on Tremblant’s
Alpine Terrain, which considering the rain forecasted, is a great outcome.

The Conditions today are going to be the kind of Pure Spring Super Soft
top layers that define what is typical for this time of year, but with a twist…

The Twist is the underlaying Extraordinarily Deep Frost which is
acting in a most unique way to keep Thermally induced softness from
above, penetrating into the core of the base. The net result will be
an all day resiliency in uniform Shred depth that will not exhibit the
usual deep toughing and very rapid Mogul formation.

It’s not as if there will not be ANY moguls, where there’s Traffic,
there will be some mogul formation, but with the frost, just not
as much.

For Beginners and Intermediates, the benefit is going to be Smoother
Surfaces for Longer, and with less muscle strain to navigate surface
contours.

For Experts, where appropriate, more uniform surfaces will mean
safer sustained Speed, however, the “Heat” in the very top surface
layer that will have water in it, will create some level of suction
induced speed drag, so Ski/Board Base Preparations with “Warm”
range Wax or Water Repelling Coating will no doubt enhance performance.

Any Additional Open Terrain Is Greatly Appreciated,
so Soleil Open Today will be a Very Popular Decision!

:) Bring Back The Memories... Research Future Visits...
If you would like to look up dates you visited Tremblant, or you
want to research days/weeks/months to visit, you can sample what
they look like historically, month by month, year by year.

GoTo: Archive, Search Reports by Date: Index: http://tinyurl.com/yktelmu

When reviewing dates from any of the past, numbered, archived pages,
you can use the "Previous Topic" or "Next Topic" buttons, located
screen far right, in upper date/message bar to scroll through sequential
dates, or use your browsers "back" button to stay on the selected index
page for non-sequential date reviews in either forward or reverse order.

There are approximately 6, 25 day Index pages per season.

( If you "Bookmark" the link above, it will always take you to the
First index page with the latest posts. That gives you an immediate,
current to 25 day past, review scroll of Winter Alpine Conditions by
consecutive date.)
