Even though we can deduce that Snowmaking is off due to
ambient Air Temps too warm, it is important to note where
Snowmaking is Plumbed-up and ready to go. We wondered if
the Cooler Mountain Elevation Temps would be cold enough for
Night-Time Snowmaking, maybe?
Anyway, Versant Nord, North Side “Expo” Fans will be very happy to
see the Air and Water lines connected to the Guns on Expo itself!

very welcome, however, Mountain Crews can get the Coverage job
done, so regardless where the snow comes from, it will all help Tremblant!
The Weather is forecast to hover a degree or three...Below Zero, and with minor
variation in the Temp. Peaks ’n Valleys, it looks like we’re going to hang in there,
just on the right side of Below Zero. This Just Below Zero pattern is currently
forecasted to remain similar 'til Christmas.

25(*) Open Trails on the Newly Very Snowy South And North Sides of #Tremblant.
From the standpoints of both Quantity and Quality, it could be argued that
today may be the best day of the New Season, so far.
The Wind has Calmed Down, and the Snowfall is forecast to go on periodically
for another 24 to 30 Hours.
It could at least be called a “Useful” coincidence that the Strategic Snowmaking
Schedule has received an augmentation of an as yet undetermined total of Fresh
New Snowfall from Mother Nature that is not yet over.
For the sake of a “Case Study” example, lets look at Versant Nord, the North Side, Duncan.
Two days ago, Duncan’s top pitch looked like this:

mowed Flat by Mountain Crews and it was transformed to look like this:

represents a sector of the Mountain that based on current wind patterns,
should receive a good amount of Snow drifting on some Adjacent Runs.
If you were riding on the Lowell Thomas Triple Chair yesterday, you would have
seen a whole bunch of Snow headed towards Duncan, and that looked like this:

it has to cross over several of what we called above, “Adjacent Runs”.
This is where the Magic of Tremblant’s Blowing and Drifting factors come into play.
Where was a good portion of that Snow pictured above moving Sideways going?

counts when it’s accumulations that allow some of these au Natural old Trail Lines
with no direct Snowmaking support, to eventually go “Open”!
This is only one example of how all the New Snow is a very Positive Game Changer
for all of Tremblant’s Terrain. In the most optimistic scenario, this New Snow will
accelerate the rate of Newly Opening Terrain, but at the very least, it should
significantly enhance the Quality of the Base on the Existing Open Terrain.
