Yesterday we wrote:

"In the most optimistic scenario, this New Snow will
accelerate the rate of Newly Opening Terrain.”

From Yesterday’s 25(*) Open where it had been for a few days,
to Today’s 33(*) Open, sure goes a long way towards the fulfillment
of that call. There was just so much Terrain Development to begin
with that the additional New Snow logically could only speed up the
“On-Line”, Open Trail List.

We also think it’s a good thing that the New Open Terrain has come on-line
on Friday. That allows the very Keen Skiers/Boarders who take Friday
to hit the slopes, to not only get to enjoy it with light weekday traffic, but
tonight, they’ll be on the phone/social media sharing the experience with
friends who will hopefully be motivated to get out over the weekend...

...That means You!

We've looked at the development of Duncan as a Case Study over the last
few, a fortunate review choice, as it Opened yesterday. In this case, the New
Snow probably did not effect the scheduled opening by much, if any, but...
it certainly would have mitigated the typical particle size coarseness of any
new trail opening by filling in the blanks, so-to-speak, and rendering out a
more finished, finer top layer.

The reason we’ve put this picture above in is to re-enforce the notion that
the way the wind was moving over the land contours from right to left, the
New Snow would have also substantially benefited the “Adjacent Runs”,
(some still unopened) seen here, to the right of Duncan.

Below: Lowell Thomas(seen on far right above), has been Open for a while
and quite good too. However good it was though, it just got a major boost
in surface quality you will still find today and onward.

:) Bring Back The Memories... Research Future Visits...
If you would like to look up dates you visited Tremblant, or you
want to research days/weeks/months to visit, you can sample what
they look like historically, month by month, year by year.

GoTo: Archive, Search Reports by Date: Index: http://tinyurl.com/yktelmu

When reviewing dates from any of the past, numbered, archived pages,
you can use the "Previous Topic" or "Next Topic" buttons, located
screen far right, in upper date/message bar to scroll through sequential
dates, or use your browsers "back" button to stay on the selected index
page for non-sequential date reviews in either forward or reverse order.

There are approximately 6, 25 day Index pages per season.

( If you "Bookmark" the link above, it will always take you to the
First index page with the latest posts. That gives you an immediate,
current to 25 day past, review scroll of Winter Alpine Conditions by
consecutive date.)
