Good For All To Go
There is a good selection of Terrain for all Skill Levels, however with this much
New Snow, the conditions favour those with Advanced Skills that can handle the
thickness that may occur. There may be irregular surface patterns caused by
tracks through portions that are not yet groomed.
It takes a couple of days of Grooming and Traffic to achieve compaction evenness
after each Snowfall event, but when there’s more New Snow falling all along, the
process can be drawn out a bit.
The overriding Mode for Safety is “Slow”, at least in a relative sense.
Considering the proximity to Zero as the Snow has fallen, it is still
quite light and the addition to the Base when Groomed in is always
a welcome addition.

Hey!!! Do You Realize How Much Fresh, New Snow There Is At Tremblant?
Even P’tit Bonheur had quite a thick covering yesterday...
Tons!
...and it Snowed pretty much all night too!!!
-------- Mid Morning Update: -----------------------
Initial Field Report:
Easy Carving Very Fine Fresh Snow Over Corduroy.
------------ end of Update --------------
From a Clinical Point of View... an argument could be made that today
may be the Last “Pure Winter” day of this Season.
Starts at -6C, and it may get up to Zero C, the freezing mark, somewhere around
3:00P.M., but due to the Summit's Cooler Elevation Differential of a typical -4C
degrees, even if that happens at the South Resort Base, it’s not likely to go above
Zero anywhere on the Mountain.
We could be wrong.
Mother Nature can go either way by a degree or two, so it is possible that
there might be a bit of “Plus” on the Mountain, but if the degree or two was
on the Lower Side, then for sure, we’d stay “All Winter”, All day.
You probably don’t have to guess what we’re hoping for...
If you like “Winter” Skiing, you’re gunna LOVE Tremblant Today!
Anyway... tomorrow’s supposed to be Sunny and Plus 5 C, and if that happens,
it makes it the end of the Longest Ever Recorded Stretch of 24/7, uninterrupted,
Sub-Zero’s on the Mountain at 71 Days. Wow. What a Winter!
Of Course, should it become a wee bit “Spring” tomorrow... there will be Excellent
Spring Skiing, right up there with the best Spring Ski days EVER... and there will
be much rejoicing from the Spring Ski/Board Fans who like their days mild. We’ll
happily join in on the enthusiasm, after all, it is nice to be able to be easy
comfortable for a change, but still, we’ll miss the Squeaky Cold Snow.
Regardless, all Tremblant Guests from now ’til the end of the Season are going
to get a HUGE benefit from all the Super Cold of this record setting winter in the
form of Trail Quality Durability facilitated by just about the deepest frost into the
Mountain since the last Ice Age!
Who knows for sure when the frost was last this deep, but the only thing we
really need to know is how it’s going to act as a Cold Storage Refrigerator that
will support the Trails from the bottom up for weeks, and weeks, and weeks.
If you like “Spring Skiing”, you’re gunna LOVE Tremblant from now on!
