T360 Early Apres Ski Edit @ 5:30 P.M.

We enthusiastically got up very early @ 5:23 A.M. to pro-actively encourage
attendance today based on potentially exceeding the “Best Of Season”
conditions holding from yesterday, combined with the Weather Forecast for
Sunny and Warmer... so...

So, If you consider the Temps rising 24 Degrees C WARMER than yesterday morning...
today was indeed better than yesterday, however...

Yikes !!! The Weather Forecast was Way, Way Off... on the “Sunshine” part,
so while the Skiing was very fine on the Groomed Open Terrain...

It was not quite the “Sunny" day we expected...

Sunshine to one degree or another is “Cosmetic”, and Skiing has survived well enough.
Unfortunately, Cloudy Snow-Fog created functional Vision issues...

More in the morning(including the two week
weather outlook), but fear not...

All the fundamentals of the Ski/Board Alpine Trail Network/Base are still solidly in place.

-------------- End of Early Bird Notice ------------

These Early Winter Weeks are typically very sweet Couples times with no crowds
and that private feeling that you have the whole Mountain all to yourself. A perfect
time to share Tremblant with the one you love.

Above: Riding up the Duncan Quad surrounded by the majestic snow filled trees
is an etherial, almost spiritual experience in the silence of the forest. Only the
gentle hum of the cable overhead as you glide through the centre of this
entrancing natural beauty.

Below: Looking to Hook Up with some Expert Rapid Action? McCulloch has been
very fine with little or no icy currently in its mix, at least as far as our experience.
We tend to use the Sides of McCulloch’s Upper Summit Level Pitch, as they usually
have fairly wide soft bands of snow deposits, but yesterday when we skied it, traverses
over the centre showed firm but good grip on very well compacted snow, right across
it’s entire width.

95% of the Groomed Open Terrain is close to Flawless to begin with each day.
So Far... by the end of the day, it’s held onto still over 90%. Traffic does create
some mogul formation and traffic also kicks up a small amount of debris, but
we’ve been very pleasantly surprised by the overall daily retention of the Groomed
surface quality.

Soleil Sector’s Toboggan is a Prime Example of All-Day Snow Surface Quality.
Fun first thing, and still fun at Last Run, this is a typical sample of the skills
of Tremblant Mountain Crews to deliver the very best possible Groomed Trails.

----------------- Conditions Caveat ------------------

The Un-Groomed Experts Only Open Terrain has numerous Natural Hazards
that may or may not be visible due to loose top layer snow being moved by
Skis/Board Traffic.

This is not the end of February so the mature seasons snow-pack is not there yet
and current levels of wear are exposing wood and rocky debris. Use Caution and
SLOW speeds to explore with great care.

Not only are Ski/Board bases at risk of damage, but a fall with any velocity onto sharp
or hard substrates or debris could result in significant personal injury.

DO NOT CROSS LINES TO USE CLOSED TERRAIN.... and don’t let your
Friends “Tempt” you into closed terrain either.

PAY ATTENTION AND OBEY SKI PATROL HAND POSTED SIGNAGE.

---------------- End of Caveat ------------------

Weather Notes:

Supposed to be Sunny, but so far Overcast. Temps have gone up 24 C in
less than 24 hours, so there’s a huge relief from the very cold we had
for the past two mornings. Today’s daytime high temp should reach -4C
by shortly after lunch.

Moderate Sou-West Winds crossing the Summit from over Soleil, moving
towards Lowell Thomas, but at these temps, way easier to deal with today.

Forecasted Mild for the next 5 days. Plan to get out and enjoy!

they look like historically, month by month, year by year.

GoTo: Archive, Search Reports by Date: Index: http://tinyurl.com/yktelmu

When reviewing dates from any of the past, numbered, archived pages,
you can use the "Previous Topic" or "Next Topic" buttons, located
screen far right, in upper date/message bar to scroll through sequential
dates, or use your browsers "back" button to stay on the selected index
page for non-sequential date reviews in either forward or reverse order.

There are approximately 6, 25 day Index pages per season.

( If you "Bookmark" the link above, it will always take you to the
