1/30/16 #Tremblant Conditions

96/96(*) Open Trails.... FIRST DAY #Tremblant 100% OPEN!

The steady Natural Snowfall Accumulation of 30 Cm’s this week, plus all
the augmenting Snowmaking has generated sufficient coverage to allow
the Ski Patrol to certify 100% of Tremblant’s Alpine Snow Sports Trail
Network to be Open for the first time this season. This is truly a Benchmark
Day in the Life of any season, but especially this season with the very late
start that Winter has had over the entire East Coast of North America.

Yesterday we wrote that even with the stat’s showing 13 cm’s of Natural
Snowfall, there was wind shaped drifting. That Drifting phenomenon that we
focus on so consistently is what causes accumulation depths that can exceed
the total anywhere up to double or more over extensive portions of the Open Terrain.

These conditions favour those with higher skill levels as surfaces can exhibit “Choppy”
consistency. There is of course, the main boulevards of Green, Easy Groomed Terrain
and we would anticipate that Nansen and P’tit Bonheur are as close to flawless as can
humanly maintained.

Our Apologies, however due to personal illness your author is temporarily
off-line and still laid out flat with Flu and very high fever. Consequently
we are in a temporary primary data record mode for another day or two?
hopefully the damn fever will break soon....

Anyone that wants to add anecdotal content is welcome to submit Wiki-like
clinical feedback to tremblant360@gmail.com that will be attributed to initials
only name Id unless otherwise requested/specified.

:) Bring Back The Memories... Research Future Visits...
If you would like to look up dates you visited Tremblant, or you
want to research days/weeks/months to visit, you can sample what
they look like historically, month by month, year by year.

GoTo: Archive, Search Reports by Date: Index: http://tinyurl.com/yktelmu

When reviewing dates from any of the past, numbered, archived pages,
you can use the "Previous Topic" or "Next Topic" buttons, located
screen far right, in upper date/message bar to scroll through sequential
dates, or use your browsers "back" button to stay on the selected index
page for non-sequential date reviews in either forward or reverse order.

There are approximately 6, 25 day Index pages per season.

( If you "Bookmark" the link above, it will always take you to the
First index page with the latest posts. That gives you an immediate,
current to 25 day past, review scroll of Winter Alpine Conditions by
consecutive date.)
