Did You Get This Part? ...40 Cm’s Potential Snowfall!!!

PLUS... There is about a 99.9% chance that...

Additional Depths Will Be Created By Wind/Contour Drifting!!!

This abundant Natural Snowfall will in all likelihood be a “Game Changer” for
the entire array of Open Terrain, both there Groomed and the Un-Groomed.

The degree and extent to which this happens will be directly related to
the Wind Component that more or less “Controls” the shape of the deposits
over the Mountains 4 sides and the contours contained therein.

Currently, there are only 3 closed Sud, South Side Trails separating the Total Open
Terrain from being 100% Open, and 2 of them, Zig-Zag and Vertige are visible
as the Trails on Screen Left, of the pic. below.

There’s a big possibility that the Snowfall today could help see them soon Open.

The only other closed Trail is Tam-Tam, a Beginner/Kids Glade Zone off of
Nansen Bas, Lower, and this Snowfall has a good chance of seeing that
back Open as well.

Weather Notes:

The Daytime high is not forecast to occur until “Last Run” at 4:00 P.M.,
and up that point First Tracks should be around -7 C, and the bulk of
Open Hours at around an easy -5C at South Resort Base Levels.

The wind is forecast to be light to moderate and mostly from the East,
so coming up the Mountain over P’tit Bonheur. The Snowfall should
accumulate fairly evenly over the Mountain as long as the windspeed
remains on the light side.

The light winds are really the Mountains best friend for snowfall distribution
as there is far less potential force that could move snow off the wide open spaces
of the bigger, wider Trails.

At that point, it’s all up to Tremblant’s Mountain Crews to get the “Raw Material”,
i.e., “Snow” Groomed/Packed into the Trail Surfaces.

On the Experts Only Un-Groomed, especially the glade zones like “Windigo”,
there could be some very sweet accumulations and if there’s lots of drifting,
natural hazards will become fewer and fewer as the snow builds up.

That is not to say there will not be any hazards, as the possibility of hazards
always exists, but thick, fresh snow goes a long way to reduce the frequency
at the very least.

Conditions Notes:

Progressive, Gradual Page Assembly Notice, but there’s a Big Bunch Of Snow
On The Way...

If You’re As Smart As You Think You Are...

Figure out what you have to do, but leave soon...

Do we really have to say anything else?

:) Bring Back The Memories... Research Future Visits...
If you would like to look up dates you visited Tremblant, or you
want to research days/weeks/months to visit, you can sample what
they look like historically, month by month, year by year.

GoTo: Archive, Search Reports by Date: Index: http://tinyurl.com/yktelmu

When reviewing dates from any of the past, numbered, archived pages,
you can use the "Previous Topic" or "Next Topic" buttons, located
screen far right, in upper date/message bar to scroll through sequential
dates, or use your browsers "back" button to stay on the selected index
page for non-sequential date reviews in either forward or reverse order.

There are approximately 6, 25 day Index pages per season.

( If you "Bookmark" the link above, it will always take you to the
First index page with the latest posts. That gives you an immediate,
current to 25 day past, review scroll of Winter Alpine Conditions by
consecutive date.)
