96(*) Open Trails on the 100% Open Slopes Of Tremblant.

23 cm’s or 9 inches of Fresh in 24 Hours For A Total Of
Very Close To 3 Feet of New Snow In 7 Days!

So, Based on what we had 7 days ago...

Roughly Speaking, Tremblant received an additional 30%
of that Year-to-date Snowfall Total in a Week.

You Know the slight “Warm” of yesterday was insignificant when the Open
Trail Count remains at 100% and there’s such a measurable increase in the
Snowfall Total. Furthermore... we think the benefit all Tremblant Guests are
going to see today is the more resilient density of the Night Shift Groomed
Terrain due to the higher internal humidity/moisture in the packed snow that
helps generate a very fine adhesive bond to the pre-existing base.

With that much New Snow there may still be considerable softness, however
we think you’ll find the Groomed surfaces will show more all-day smoothness
and less likelihood to build moguls in the Green Beginner and Blue Intermediate
Trails.

Experts who like Un-Groomed Terrain will still be finding Powder Lines at
Tremblant for the next 5 to 7 days...

Weather Notes: Regional:

Thank Goodness For “North”, As In Latitude...

This is a point we really like to make because it is real, and very practical
when discussing “Skiing” and “Winter” that both depend on “Cold”, and we
feel that Tremblant’s more northerly latitude within it’s Regional Peers is very
often a tipping point in Tremblant’s favour for consistency in conditions.

Tremblant got up to +1 C yesterday for 4 hours. Central Vermont has been at up to
+8 C for over 36 hours. The obvious difference in the impact on conditions gives
Tremblant the HUGE advantage that “North” usually has over “South” when it
comes to “Winter”. Something to keep in mind if you’re looking at this record
some future August or September while you are researching where to safely put your
hard earned Ski Holiday Budget. Something to keep in mind if you’re thinking about
a last minute Regional Ski Break in the next couple of weeks...

Yesterday we wrote:

"The Incredibly Positive Impact of all this Snow is that Tremblant’s Open
Terrain has been elevated from a statistically Low Snow Season to a statistically
Above Average Season in 5 Wonderful Days of Very Beautifully Messy Winter
Weather that most of the surrounding community is still going to be digging
out of for another Week!"

Here’s the data to back that up, based on the daily Tremblant Stat’s we Archive:

:) Bring Back The Memories... Research Future Visits...
If you would like to look up dates you visited Tremblant, or you
want to research days/weeks/months to visit, you can sample what
they look like historically, month by month, year by year.

GoTo: Archive, Search Reports by Date: Index: http://tinyurl.com/yktelmu

When reviewing dates from any of the past, numbered, archived pages,
you can use the "Previous Topic" or "Next Topic" buttons, located
screen far right, in upper date/message bar to scroll through sequential
dates, or use your browsers "back" button to stay on the selected index
page for non-sequential date reviews in either forward or reverse order.

There are approximately 6, 25 day Index pages per season.

( If you "Bookmark" the link above, it will always take you to the
First index page with the latest posts. That gives you an immediate,
current to 25 day past, review scroll of Winter Alpine Conditions by
consecutive date.)
