Above: Definitely Worth The Drive.
The Smiles of Fun and Satisfaction on the faces of these Tremblant Guests
who have driven all the way from Wisconsin/Michigan to Ski here is the self
evident support for the very positive verbal feedback we got when we asked
about their experience, then permission to take and use this pic.

Tremblant continues to be a very strong Eastern Regional Ski/Board drive-to destination
and to one extent or another, that will be perpetuated by Fans/Groups like this that
will no doubt be future sharing their enthusiasm with friends and family.

It was a Totally Surprising Day Of Complete Excellence. Period...
Especially on the Groomed, but almost everywhere else too.

For what we think are the results of a combination of factors, the Carving
Performance on the Groomed Terrain was Excellent.

We estimate Edge Grip on Hard Carved Short Radius turns by a Fit,
Expert Skilled Athlete, with Tuned Gear, could approach 1 Lateral G-force.

No Rain, No Sun... Perfect... because at anything close to Zero C,
No Additional Thermal/Thaw Sources Are Desirable.

Please Note in these Apres Ski Pic's:
One of our Principal, Conditions Diagnostic Criteria... SNOW/FROST In The Trees.

If the temps hit any fraction/amount of “+”, above Zero C, the Snow/Frost thaws
very quickly, sometimes within Minutes, because Unlike The Well Compressed Alpine
Trail Base... There’s No Insulation For the Snow in the Trees, and being subjected to
any form, amount, time, of “Heat” in 360 degrees of exposure, melts the Snow/Frost
quickly.

The presence of Snow/Frost in the Trees indicates there was no thermal “incident” at
the Summit-Down-To-Mid South, and Summit-Down-To-Base, North.

Snow Surface Conditions That Make YOU Look Good!

It’s easy to Look Good when surfaces are soft and forgiving. That’s pretty much
where we are now. Those in attendance yesterday, ourselves included, will
acknowledge that Skiing the Upper portions of the Mountain were not easy due to
Fog, but technically, that has nothing to do with the snow quality that was
very fine, just not all that visible. Once below the fog, all was well and the
Very Fine, “Spring" Carving we all “Warmly” look forward to was just as expected...

With currently Clear, but Overcast, and forecasted Sunny, vision will not be a problem.
Even the little traffic generated waves or moguls should be far, far easier with great,
long, line-of-sight navigation that will also support good speed and safe allowances
of distance around other Skier/Boarder Traffic.

Any surface irregularities tend to become more pronounced as the day wears on,
so by the end of it you may want to select less difficult rated terrain. The Wise,
Experienced Skier knows that a lot of accidents happen when Fatigue sets in
and technique and reflexes are not quite as sharp as those enthusiastic “First Tracks”.
That’s exactly the time to Dial it back a notch or two, go in for a break, or head
for some Apres Ski beverages.

For Best Results:

Pay particular attention to the “Groomed” Icons in the Official Trail Data Graphic below.

Initial quality on these trails will be the best potential of the day within each of the
Black, Blue, and Green rated Difficulty Levels.

----------------- Conditions Caveat ---------------

Watch for Traffic patterns creating Moguls on Steeper Pitches, over Crests, at
any Trail Intersections or Narrowing confinements. Slowing down PRIOR to
going over a crest saves all the panic we sometimes see when people
unexpectedly end up airborne after zooming into a Pitched Mogul Zone they
were not able to see from above the crest.

---------------------------------------------------------------

Page under Progressive Assembly, so more as soon as possible, but if it turns
out to be the forecasted Sunny, it will be a spectacular Spring Skiing Day to be sure.

Based on the shift from below to above Zero C, the ideal Ski Hours will be between
10:00 A.M. and 2:30 P.M. or so, depending on the actual rate of Thermal Influence
Surface Softening.

Our advice is Brunch... Skip Lunch and Ski the Sweet Spots,
so you don’t miss any of the really fine Noon Hour Skiing,
then late Aft. Beverage/Snack.

:) Bring Back The Memories... Research Future Visits...
If you would like to look up dates you visited Tremblant, or you
want to research days/weeks/months to visit, you can sample what
they look like historically, month by month, year by year.

GoTo: Archive, Search Reports by Date: Index: http://tinyurl.com/yktelmu

When reviewing dates from any of the past, numbered, archived pages,
you can use the "Previous Topic" or "Next Topic" buttons, located
screen far right, in upper date/message bar to scroll through sequential
dates, or use your browsers "back" button to stay on the selected index
page for non-sequential date reviews in either forward or reverse order.

There are approximately 6, 25 day Index pages per season.

( If you "Bookmark" the link above, it will always take you to the
First index page with the latest posts. That gives you an immediate,
current to 25 day past, review scroll of Winter Alpine Conditions by
consecutive date.)
