A Superb Tremblant Fresh Snow, Winter Day!
A bit breezy, but so much warmer than previous days.
Very pleasant and easy to stay warm, even

MORE SNOW TONIGHT... 20, 25, 30cm’s?
Regardless of ANY statistical total...
It’s going to be the Wind Component
that shapes it over the Topographical
Features of Tremblant. See Annotated

attachment contained in the “Orig. Post”, below.

This Is The Basis For The Excellence You’ll Find At Tremblant Today:
T360 Monday, January 9th, 2017, Proof Of Snow, Versant Nord, North Side,
Lowell Thomas, Mid-Point, Trail Side. In the Mean-Time, photography at the Summit was impractical due to
“Pea Soup” thick Snow-Fog. We pulled the camera out for an attempt,
but it was immediately Snow-Blasted in the Lens and Control buttons
and it was impossible to keep lens clear... at all.
It Snowed All the way down on the South to Johannsen...
If you get the sense from looking above and below that Pic’s were
never going to be anything less than almost totally obscured by Snowfall
on the Open, Groomed Terrain, you are absolutely correct.
The clearest vision, albeit only a few metres, was within the protected
confines of the Tall Tree-Lined trails of upper Versant Nord.
Fortunately....
Some of the things that make Photography “Impractical” or “Bad”...
Make Skiing and Boarding Excellent!
Clinically Speaking... Most of the Open Groomed Terrain is Winter Cold, Winter Fast,
Winter Smooth, and quite near Flawless.
Regular readers here are going to be very familiar with the emphasis we put
on the accumulative benefits of daily Grooming cycles within days of sustained
Sub-Zero, ‘round the clock temp’s.
The universal High Quality over practically every single, Open, Groomed Trail
was all the evidence needed to confirm those benefits yesterday. From a Ski
Enthusiast’s point of view it would be quite difficult to put into words how joyful
it is to be able to experience that over the length of a day that for Experts could
include well over 30,000 Vertical Feet in Descent Total, or for Beginners, the
Satisfaction of Rapid Learning Advancements that can best be achieved with
the seamless smooth and gentle slopes that are measured in up to 6 Kilometres.

incredible!
