More on the Importance of Grooming Le Tunnel, and how it’s relevant to All Tremblant
Guests, in tomorrows report...

Otherwise, This may explain why there are no Versant Sud Pic’s for today...

The Semi-Sleet, Mixed with Snow over the last 24 hours has definitely contributed to
Surface Quality, a bit surprising that it’s more evident than the small depth might
normally suggest.

Very Easy Conditions For All Skill Levels As Low-Level Warmth
Generates Softness To A Degree In All Sectors.

It may take several days to experience overall softening due to the Yet-As-Solid
Base that has Big, Big Frost in the Substrates.

The current level of soft surfaces is a mix of shallow heat penetration and
the Pellet-like Micro-fine sleety mix that was coating Goggle Lenses and
adding itself to the snow surfaces over the whole Mountain. The exception
was at the lower base levels that remained relatively clear all day yesterday.

Skiing Performance was Very Fine to Excellent as there was a decrease in
the Icy Prone Pitches to be so slick with perceptibly better edge hold on
most of the Steeper sections.

The rise in ambient Snow Surface Moisture Levels that was providing the extra
traction did not seem to inhibit Speed though, so it was very pleasantly surprising
to retain all the low resistance “Glide” across plateau’s and on more gentle slopes.

Easy, Easy, Very Forgiving Conditions, would be a fair summary.

The “Glitch” was Vision. As mentioned above, the very fine particle Sleet
frequently caused obscured goggle lenses and while there were times
when it was less apparent, it was like a filter and needed to be removed
often. Thankfully, due to the overall warmth, that was not too difficult
and it never held us up for more than a few seconds at a time.

As you may imagine from all that, it was a very poor day for Photography,
however... what makes for Sleet-Smeared Camera Lens, seemed to be
Great for Glide and when we could not stop for Pic’s, we had to settle
for Super-Quick and Super-Fun descents everywhere. The Feedback
consensus from friends out for the day was unanimous regarding the
High Surface Quality, despite the vision issue.

We fully expect all the Positive Performance attributes to be there today, but
with the far better vision component attached to the “Sunny” part of the forecast
for today.

It’s an All Day Logistics and Field Work combination for us today,
so apologies for any update delays, but the basic thing is really simple
anyway...

Within the daily weather that Mother Nature delivers,
Conditions Here At Tremblant are Very Well Optimized by Mountain
Crews, and with Skis or Board in Good Tune, All Skill Levels have
Excellent Terrain within their Green, Blue and Black ratings.

The Temp’s are really easy and so are the Skiing and Boarding.
