T360 Apres Midnight, Apres Ski Edit @ 12:24 A.M.
How could you possibly question the quality
that is completely evident in this picture below?
You can’t. The impression of quality conveyed
in this picture is 100% Pin Sharp Accurate. Period.
3.25.19.Erik.Guay.Sunny.Wind.Washed.Views.Up.c.jpg
In addition to the near ideal levels of groomed
trail density, this picture captures the “Wind-Washed”
surfaces being continuously refreshed by snow being
pushed up the Mountain in sufficient volume to cover
tracks within 5 to 7 minutes, to the point of being
total erased. You can see that above as the “Grey” zones
on the Trail Surface which are actually massive amounts
of very dry, light(as in weight), snow, being pushed up the
Mountain in great airborne pools of very quickly moving,
beautifully high traction, low friction, real Winter snow.
The joy in that was that almost every run was Snow-Refreshed
“First Tracks”!
Below:
If you would like to see a “Case-in-Point” Before and After
direct Trail Density comparison on exactly the same trail and
portion, then scroll back in this Forum to 3.23.19 and look at this
identical piece of Real-Estate as “Before”. Then, below, call this one
“After”. You can immediately see the difference today makes.
Today is arguably smoother, better lateral traction, and unarguably
higher surface density and faster.

Tomorrow Is Currently Forecasted To Be
Nearly Identical...

93(*) Open Trails On Versant Sud, South, Nord, North and Soleil Sectors At #Tremblant .
Here is a primary reason for the excellence
you will experience at Tremblant today:
T360 March 24, 2019 Proof Of Snow.
This is real. This is a genuine untracked, Open,
Sous Bois, Glade, Hors Piste descent line at Tremblant today.
3.24.19.Mid.Lowell.Thomas.Trail.Side.Proof.Of.Snow.d.jpg
If you step off your skis in the above scene,
you immediately sink into the snow up to
your waist. The thing that’s holding you up
is the support spread between your legs
and under your butt, so your feet are not
touching any ground. It feels like you’re
swimming in snow. Absolutely amazing
and wonderful to experience. It’s a challenge
just to get skis back on. The best way to do it
is to place one ski horizontally in front of you
and place all your weight on it with one knee
while each hand supports that ski laterally.
When your upright on that knee, you can
grab the other ski, set it close to parallel,
then pull up the other leg and swing the
foot over to that other binding. The tricky
part is trying to raise the opposite knee high
enough, then pivot to locate the foot in the other
binding while maintaining kneeled balance on the
first ski you’re trying to use as a platform. The key
is very, almost stop-action, slow motion. Any attempt
to rush and your balance can be lost so you end up
back swimming in the snow. If you were raised in
a Northern Snow-Belt climate, it makes you feel like a
kid again!
Otherwise...
You’re Having International Visions Of Tremblant.
Born and raised in France,
Living in Boca Raton Florida, U.S.A.,
Skiing at Tremblant.
Summary: Great Skiing, Easy to get to.
3.24.19.Duncan.Quad.Visions.Of.Tremblant.From.Boca.Raton.Fl.d.jpg
It is our great privilege to meet folks from all over
the World who come to ski Tremblant and the feedback
is overwhelmingly positive. We take that as reassurance
for our own enthusiasm and every opportunity we get
permission to use this type of reference, we gratefully
use it for the benefit of this record and future Tremblant
guests.
The distance from YUL(PET Int.Airport/Montreal),
to Tremblant is only 125 Km’s/77 miles, so it’s
an easy ground transfer to get to all this fabulous
Skiing from just about anywhere!
Weather Notes:
If you want to get a better idea of why we
label these Graphics with “Evolving”, scroll
back a few days and compare the 14 day
forecast outlook. We’re very happy to see
the overall drop in the day-time high’s,
especially the loss of a +10C spike that was
there yesterday. Spring will inevitably arrive,
but in the mean-time, it’s good to also see the
near-term overnight Sub-Zero C’s that will help
stabilize these great conditions for the remaining
4 weeks of the season.
Of course it’s possible it could all change again, however,
it seems as though we tend to trend to the low side
of forecast, which has so-far, been a huge asset for
the retention of “Winter” trail quality characteristics.
Conditions Notes:
Two Concepts:
1) All Winter, All Day...
2) Something For Everyone!
1): This is a scene riding up the Versant Nord, North Side Duncan
Quad as it is almost parallel to the initial descent of Devils River.
This is trail # 62, Saute-Moutons, and it’s currently in
very obvious, and very prime, mogul conditions. The Snow
in the trees, completely uninsulated, and very sensitive to
any thermal spikes, tells you everything you need to know
about "All Winter, All Day".
3.24.19.Duncan.Quad.Views.Over.Saute.Moutons.c.jpg
2):This pic below is about 39 hours old, but it is exactly what Beginners
and Intermediates can find today at Tremblant. This is some of the very
best learning and practice terrain in Eastern North America. Not only is
the Nansen sector easy, but at 6 kilometres in length, your advancement
in skills development here can be exponentially quicker because you have
the uninterrupted distance to establish rhythm in applied technique that
you can never get if you have to stop and get back on a lift every few minutes.
3.23.19.La.Crete.At.Bon.Vivant.Sunny.Views.Over.Nansen.Haut.Upper.c..jpg
If you’re coming to Tremblant as a Beginner or Intermediate with
the goal of learning and improvement in Skiing skills, the benefit
of uninterrupted practice over a 6 kilometre descent line can not
be overstated. It is simply one of the very best ways possible to
make significant personal progress.
Conditions are extraordinary and the current trail status
at Tremblant is: “Average Is Excellent”!!!

More to follow at Apres Ski, hopefully by 9:00 P.M.,
but in the mean-time...
There’s more natural snow now, than either
of the last two Super-Seasons, TOTALS, and that
makes the Spring Forecast almost surreal
by any historic comparisons.
If you can, get here ASAP,
If you can, book a Spring Escape To Ski.
Absolutely fabulous repeat of outstanding
seasonal accumulations and refined Alpine
Snow Sports Conditions.
Advantage Tremblant... again.
Important Repeat:
Conditions are extraordinary and the current trail status
at Tremblant is: “Average Is Excellent”!!!
