Very Beautiful.

This is the essence of a crisp, clear, cool winter day.

Weather Notes:

Our very favourite component of a very cool forecast...

Low to no wind.

It is a fact that very cold temps are way, way easier to tolerate
when there is no or really close to no wind. The mechanical
advantage of today will be apparent to all who where here
yesterday, within seconds. If you are wearing a dark jacket
and you stop in a sunlit calm zone, you should feel warmth
in less than a minute.

Of course... results may vary over Mountain elevations.
The sun will create thermal zones of moving air by simple
convection effects over direct facing areas, so there will
no doubt be breezes here and there, but the driving force
of the previous couple of days just won’t be there the
same way.

Conditions Notes:

Superb groomed trail surfaces should be evident
almost everywhere, right out to the far edges of
all the trails on the night-shifts schedule. There
may be some lingering softness where the drifted
in depths were more than average, but with the
light traffic of Covid-19 restricted attendance, we
don’t think there will be any significant wear factors
anywhere.

This is genuine, authentic, well chilled, cold-formed
winter snow. Under a sunny sky, it should be every
bit of glorious high performance for Experts, and equally
glorious easy for Beginners and Intermediates. The
forgiving quality typically in these types of conditions
means that there is usually great versatility for those
who want to safely explore and test higher challenges,
just keep speed dialled down on initial more difficult
descents. Stopping at crests before descending pitches
may be a wise way to maintain control from a safe
starting point when you are working with slope angles
you are not used to.

:) Bring Back The Memories... Research Future Visits...
If you would like to look up dates you visited Tremblant, or you
want to research days/weeks/months to visit, you can sample what
they look like historically, month by month, year by year.

When reviewing dates from any of the past, numbered, archived pages,
you can use the "Previous Topic" or "Next Topic" buttons, located
screen far right, in upper date/message bar to scroll through sequential
dates, or use your browsers "back" button to stay on the selected index
page for non-sequential date reviews in either forward or reverse order.

There are approximately 6, 25 day Index pages per season.

( If you "Bookmark" the link above, it will always take you to the
First index page with the latest posts. That gives you an immediate,
current to 25 day past, review scroll of Winter Alpine Conditions by
consecutive date.)
