T360 Midnight Apres Ski Edit @ 11:55 P.M.
A very interesting and widely diversified
conditions day where upper and Nord/North
sectors remained winter-like, while Sud/South
base levels got a bit “sticky”.

The sun and the heat and the thaw are slowly
bringing the Mountain to life.
Very few will actually stop to see this shot below, but
a close up look within the Open forested sectors at
Tremblant will show these gorgeous natural colours
of unmistakably green moss and lichens growth slowly
coming alive with the warmth and supporting water feed
provided by snow melting out of the trees.

For tomorrow, sunny and a few degrees cooler @ +4 C,
so we may have all day speed and performance on a
universal basis after a -6 C overnight.

What New Adventures Await!
A New Historic “Most Seasonal Snowfall Ever Recorded” Levels
Promise An Amazing Final Three Weeks In The Official Season.
The previous 25 year record of 615 cm’s back in the spring of
2019, has now been eclipsed by the overnight jumps to 617 cm’s
yesterday morning, then again to this mornings 627 cm’s.
Today will have what we would call a lot of “Dynamics”.
There could be many changes and many unique conditions
characteristics, so...

Weather Notes:
There is a bit of contradictory forecasting for the
daily high temp and normally we would not be
concerned by that except that with it being the
difference between +5 C and + 8 C, there could
be big effects differences if the warmer happened
within the normal range of cooler elevation
differentials.
In this case, if it only got to +5 C, virtually the
entire trail network could stay far more winter-like.
On the flip-side, there is also potential for the
sun to build big thermal energy so we could
maybe see the first double digit “+” C of the
Spring skiing season?
More spring wild-cards... but, the critical part is
that at this specific point, the wild-cards can
also be tipping points that may or may not lead
to trail surface thaw and any resultant consequence
for tomorrow with tonight going to -6 C.
Conditions Notes:
In the Groomed:
The new snowfall accumulation total has gone
from 598 cm’s to 627 cm’s in 48 hours.
That’s a lot of fresh snow in a short period
and it is likely that there will be quite a bit
of softness in the top layers that may be
prone to traffic built moguls. Our usual
observational standard for effective single
pass grooming integration is 10 cm’s, so
with almost double that, it will be excellent
to begin with, but it may take one more day
to achieve greater density.
Any evolved moguls will be directly related to
pitch angles, so if you find more challenge than
either skills or muscle are comfortable with, dial
it back and stick with more gentle slopes where
all-day smoothness is more likely to endure.
In the Sous Bois/Hors Piste/Glades and Un-Groomed:
This is where the genuine Expert magic may happen.
The sustained wind and even higher speed gusting
will have produced unique zones of depth that may
exceed the stat totals by double or more.
There are too many wild cards to accurately or individually
predict all of them, and the jury is still out on Ski Patrol
certifications, so these categories are where the Open list
may be the most changeable today.
We do expect that the Official Open Trail List may change
multiple times today, so once again it is recommended that
you consult with the Tremblant Info.Ski Crews frequently
during the course of the day at their Summit station for
any and all updates.
