Conditions Notes:

Please Note:
a) We think there is an anomaly in the icon indications
as the delay icons evidently seem to be the closed
trails. This could be a bit confusing considering there
may be trails within the closed group that may actually
reopen today. Furthermore, there will be many, if not all
of these trails that eventually reopen when the temps rise
and/or conditions change in any other way that the Ski
Patrol can certify safe passage on any or all.
b) For the sake of accurate archival trail stat’s...
Yesterday we think there may have been a typo in the
closed status of Sissy Schuss and it was actually Short Cut
that was closed. The two trails are adjacent on the list and
the closing of Sissy Schuss would be extremely unusual
considering its quantity of integrated base and its degree
of highly refined finishing. The only exception might be
that Sissy was closed to rebuild park features. We will
attempt to examine the Sissy Park Zone for an update.

------------- 11:33 A.M Insert Update: ----------------

Nord/North Sissy Schuss has not been rebuilt,
so for the accuracy of yesterday’s record, we’re
going with “typo” for an unintentional error
regarding actual closure of Short Cut.

In The Groomed:

The night-shift will have produced the
very best possible rendering of combined
smoothness and scope.

We are at the stage where Mother Nature
frequently oscillates the temps from below
Zero C to above Zero C and back again, so
there can be evolving differences in running
surfaces over the course of the day’s rising
temps and traffic patterns. It is inevitable
though, that following these spring temp
cycles, there will be icy bits that only want
the sharpest edges for fully optimized safety
and performance.

Conditions tend to be sector related though,
so finding zones of preference is fairly simple
with circulating explorations and the likelihood
is that when you discover easy in any sector, it
will probably stay that way for a few hours that
you can take advantage of in the way of repeat
circuit training.

The biggest example of that today should be the
differences between Sud/South and Nord/North
sectors where the Sud/South may show a considerable
degree of later day softening if the solar intensity can
work in at the same time temps break into the “+’s”.
In this case the Nord/North will probably retain firmer,
more technical surfaces that may not be as forgiving,
but may have better natural speed retention.

The key to fun and optimal utility is observant explorations.

The other key to fun and utility is if you know what you
want but don’t know where to find it, consult with the
Info.Ski Crews who can point you you to exactly where
you want to go.

In The Sous Bois/Hors Piste/Glades and Un-Groomed:

Patience Folks...

These trails/zones will be back on line as soon as the
Ski Patrol deems them safe.

It is probable that they may reopen on a case-by-case
basis, so this is just another example of why it’s so
important to check with the Info.Ski.

:) Bring Back The Memories... Research Future Visits...
If you would like to look up dates you visited Tremblant, or you
want to research days/weeks/months to visit, you can sample what
they look like historically, month by month, year by year.

When reviewing dates from any of the past, numbered, archived pages,
you can use the "Previous Topic" or "Next Topic" buttons, located
screen far right, in upper date/message bar to scroll through sequential
dates, or use your browsers "back" button to stay on the selected index
page for non-sequential date reviews in either forward or reverse order.

There are approximately 6, 25 day Index pages per season.

 If you “Bookmark" the link above, it will always take you to the
First index page with the latest posts. That gives you an immediate,
current to 25 day past, review scroll of Winter Alpine Conditions by
consecutive date.
