Serious Skiing For Serious Skiers...

The Holiday Guests Have All Gone Home
So Now It’s Time For Some Serious, "Lets
Crank Out Some BIG Vertical" Skiing.

Lapping fitness training at Tremblant on the
vast, uncrowded slopes of an extraordinarily
abundant natural snowfall Open trail list can
easily get you 30,000 vertical feet per day.

All that, without mad speed, without reckless
danger to you or anyone else, just by keeping
a steady pace of focused effort and optimized
technique when you can ski-right-on to lifts,
run after run after run.

You’ll run out of muscle way before you run out of Tremblant. Period.

or... you could easy-cruise all day, relaxed and without a care in the world...

The dynamic of this evolving weather systems passage
has a whole big bunch of wild card elements. Throughout
all the variables we cling to the concept that at these base
temps at Zero C, cooler elevations stand good chances of
developing snowfall.

Conditions Notes:

In The Groomed:

Generally quite fine with some sectors blessed with
excellent lee-side drift-in favour and some sectors
that are noticeably wind-blasted with solid and
sometimes bumpy base exposures.

The consensus from local Experts is that Nord/North
sectors are in better shape, the pictured Lowell Thomas
sector Banzai/MCA being primo examples, while some,
not all, upper Sud/South Summit sectors exhibiting
lumpy “Boiler Plate” conditions, Kandahar being an
example. This is also somewhat related to directional
orientation as Beauvallon and Nansen which are further
towards the Nor-West are both in great shape.

Basically, you need to cautiously explore, look for
patterns of user-friendly that suit you, then stick
with them for a while.

In The Sous Bois/Hors Piste/Glades and Un-Groomed:

Infinite variety and challenge but it’s been
a while since that last big snow, so prone to
being well traveled with the inherent signs
of use and wear.

You need to explore with caution throughout
this group, it’s a la carte all the way, but with
that said, still fantastic for the first week in
any January, after a busy Xmas/New Years.

Use your head, be careful, and pray for snow.
