A Look On The Bright Side...

It seemed like we went for months in the grey weather
of deep winter... (oh... we did), so this string of super-sunny
is really welcome and oh so picturesque!

Weather Notes:

We would like to think that the forecast for a few hours
of snowfall tonight was actually going to happen but
some regional snowfall forecasts with similar transient
pathways over the past couple of days have just faded
away without happening. So, we’re keeping fingers crossed,
but we’re ready for anything, or maybe nothing. In any event
the string of sunny days is really welcome and thankfully
there are overnight well below zero C stabilizer resets.

WOW... Tempus Fugit !!! March 1 is in the long range forecast !!!!

Conditions Notes:

In The Groomed:

Firm ’n FAST... for at least 50% Open hours span on
Versant Sud/South Side and Soleil and for roughly
75% of Open hours span on Versant Nord/North Side
slopes.

The remaining later day percentages will likely see
progressive softness in the top layers that will transform
what may be early slick or icy bits into late day shred
performance. There are definitely signs of annual seasonal
trends and patterns that include daily thermal cycles influenced
by ambient air temps and direct solar energy exposures taking
temps just a touch over the freezing mark.

The Mountain will be filled with exciting “Sweet Spots” all day,
but they will most likely be on a revolving basis as the sun and
heat get to work in more intense combinations after the lunch hour.

If/when you find zones you can really rip in, don’t be afraid to do
repeats for run after run of really great fun!

In The Sous Bois/Hors Piste/Glades and Un-Groomed:

Same percentages apply to the Sous Bois group, but due
to the nature of overnight chilled un-groomed raw conditions
followed by a little heat, things may be able to be summarized
as going from lumpy to lovely, depending on location and
thermal effect.

Explore carefully, use cautious speeds and realize that hard/soft
snow friction levels can vary greatly, even between shadow zones,
let alone Mountain sides/sectors.

:) Bring Back The Memories... Research Future Visits...
If you would like to look up dates you visited Tremblant, or you
want to research days/weeks/months to visit, you can sample what
they look like historically, month by month, year by year.

When reviewing dates from any of the past, numbered, archived pages,
you can use the “Previous Topic" or "Next Topic" buttons, located
screen far right, in upper date/message bar to scroll through sequential
dates, or use your browsers "back" button to stay on the selected index
page for non-sequential date reviews in either forward or reverse order.

There are approximately 6, 25 day Index pages per season.

 If you “Bookmark" the link above, it will always take you to the
First index page with the latest posts. That gives you an immediate,
current to 25 day past, review scroll of Winter Alpine Conditions by
consecutive date.
