Technically Excellent “Spring” Skiing...
But otherwise, standard adverse weather protocols apply...
Here’s what you need...
Weather Notes:
In our opinion, and within the generalized context
of old folklore, this is exactly what generations of
weather observers call the “In Like A Lamb” side
of common March weather patterns.
On a potentially very favourable flip-side, a review
of the 10 day long range forecast shows significant
natural snowfall recovery possibilities, so fingers
crossed for that.
For today specifically, there is substantial probability
that atmospheric conditions over trail elevations may
be nothing other than cloud-fog until sometime between
1:00 to 3:00 P.M. and in many cases rainy is confined to
small localized transient showers that can completely
miss the Mountain Furthermore, with such a low ceiling
we want to remind folks that typically, rain falls below
the cloud, not so much in the cloud cover on the Summit.
On that basis, for the largest part of the day the challenge
may be vision as fog can also mean very fine cloud particulate
that stings eyes if goggles are up. The answer is yellow, curved
lens industrial safety glasses that restore contrast and definition
as well as protect from eye-blast. You don’t need goggles, it’s
already warm out and glasses allow air flow without fogging up
inside like goggles can do.

Conditions Notes:
Generally:
It is necessary to split conditions into two separate
and distinct categories, i.e, surface and atmospheric,
because the surfaces will be technically excellent “Spring”,
however obviously the atmospheric will represent the
practical challenge of remaining dry enough to be
comfortable.
It needs to be said that today has a high probability of
falling into our 80/20 rule where conditions up on the
Mountain are way, way better than at base surface levels,
and with the hourly forecast, could actually see large,
if not most of the day merely being foggy and very fine
spring surface conditions.
Even if/when there is precipitation, the most practical solution
is as presented above, the one and only “Descente” brand
poncho which is exactly what you are going to see the Ski
Patrol, Ski Instructors, Info.Ski Crews, knowledgable locals and
regional regulars, are all in majority going to be using today.
It is a non insulated coated membrane that is worn very
large and loose and it does not restrict movement in any
way while it keeps your upper body dry for hours in wet
weather, making the enjoyment of the superbly soft
smoothness possible.

If you would like to look up dates you visited Tremblant, or you
want to research days/weeks/months to visit, you can sample what
they look like historically, month by month, year by year.
When reviewing dates from any of the past, numbered, archived pages,
you can use the “Previous Topic" or "Next Topic" buttons, located
screen far right, in upper date/message bar to scroll through sequential
dates, or use your browsers "back" button to stay on the selected index
page for non-sequential date reviews in either forward or reverse order.
There are approximately 6, 25 day Index pages per season.
First index page with the latest posts. That gives you an immediate,
current to 25 day past, review scroll of Winter Alpine Conditions by
consecutive date.
