78(*) Open Trails At #Tremblant .

--------------- 3:22 P.M. Insert Update/ Tremblant Alpine Skiing Closure For 3.11.26: -----------

Please Note: Due to the closure we will focus on the evolving weather
scenario as it unfolds tomorrow. As well, we will review todays conditions,
which, by the way, were fully soft spring, technical, and loads of fun
if you explored patiently and spent repeat time in the abundance of
sweet spots that could be found in spite of reduced open terrain.

Weather Notes:

We label the weather forecasting with a big “if...” for exactly
what’s going on right now with highly dynamic spring weather
and the differences in advanced models and the real momentary
conditions. Today was forecasted as “sunny” for days, and maybe
it will end up that way, but so-far while there are bright spots in
the sky, it has that all-day dark grey overcast look that may even
threaten precipitation. Time will tell.

In the next 2 days of forecast there is a significant threat of freezing
rain but we are highly suspect when the temps at that time are shown
as -4C ? We think there is a substantial probability of that being
snowfall over Mountain elevations, but we could be wrong. When you
consider that especially at typical cooler by -4C elevations, it seems
to us that the temps could easily generate snow.

On the flip-side of the freezing rain forecast, we think that if, if, if...
we were right about snow instead of rain, there could maybe, possibly,
potentially, be a very large natural snowfall event of game-changing
depth accumulation dimensions... maybe.

------------ Mar. 11/12, 2026 Environment Canada Freezing Rain Warning: --------------

We publish all Official weather alerts and warnings as soon
as they are posted, however in this case, as noted above,
we have difficulty in supporting a Freezing Rain occurrence
when ambient air temps are forecasted at -10C during the
event time-span ???

Regardless, one of the major implications here is that
commuting to the Mountain could be messy and hazardous,
so check tire pressures and make sure you have your on
board vehicular winter safety kit stocked up and ready if
you’re attempting a transit when authorities are advising
non-essential travel should be avoided.

Here’s what happened the last time they forecast rain...

Conditions Notes:

Generally:

For today:
Overall very forgiving, smooth and easily controllable
softness typical of an early spring, multi-day thermal
event. However... there may be localized icy bits or
mini-glacial flow zones, but they are typically in patterns
around/below crests or where topographical contours
allow pooling and they are just as typically quite obvious
by contrasted colouration in your line-of-sight navigation.

There will be sweet spots in all Open Terrain categories,
both Groomed and Sous Bois, however the bias will likely
be in the consistency of the freshly groomed and the
Sous Bois will want careful initial explorations but should
have some primo Spring bump lines.

We think this above is going to be exactly the same today.

:) Bring Back The Memories... Research Future Visits...
If you would like to look up dates you visited Tremblant, or you
want to research days/weeks/months to visit, you can sample what
they look like historically, month by month, year by year.

When reviewing dates from any of the past, numbered, archived pages,
you can use the “Previous Topic" or "Next Topic" buttons, located
screen far right, in upper date/message bar to scroll through sequential
dates, or use your browsers "back" button to stay on the selected index
page for non-sequential date reviews in either forward or reverse order.

There are approximately 6, 25 day Index pages per season.

 If you “Bookmark" the link above, it will always take you to the
First index page with the latest posts. That gives you an immediate,
current to 25 day past, review scroll of Winter Alpine Conditions by
consecutive date.
