Please Note(a): This is an excellent “Best Case” scenario
signifying the evident post-thermal recovery of both
the quality and range of Open terrain from yesterdays
whacky weather.

Please Note(b): this revision would have occurred
much earlier during Open hours. We are including
it here for daily journal record keeping accuracy.

--------------- Environment Canada Rainfall Warning: --------------

Please Note: This should not affect Open Hours today,
but may obviously affect tomorrow A.M. regional
commutes as well as Alpine Snow Sports conditions.
Based on the hourly projections for Open hours
tomorrow, atmospheric affects could be minimal
to zero. Plan accordingly.

Conditions Notes:

In The Groomed:

There will be very good freshly groomed corduroy,
however yesterday it got up to +10 C, this morning
it is -5C. It follows then that "The Laws of Physics” apply.

The common strategy is to groom as much as possible
after the temps have gone below Zero C so the finished
product is not only smooth, but retains a light, dry,
very “skiable” soft top layer across the widest manageable
range of Open terrain. Typically, and what we expect for
today, is that the primary focus is on the Green’s and
Blue’s where Beginners and aspiring Intermediates who
need the most help, get the most high quality consistency.

It helps too that the lesser slope-angled pitches are the
least prone to icy-flow zones, so all of that that is why
the Green’s and Blue’s at Tremblant are so reliable, even
when Mother Nature does flip-flops so common in spring.

There will be very fine Black Diamond conditions too, but they
may be on a more select basis due to some iciness that steeper
pitch angels can be prone to... solutions: Sharp Edges and
situational pattern awareness.

In The Sous Bois/Hors Piste/Glades and Un-Groomed:

These groups of trails and zones are the most sensitive
to oscillating +/- Zero C’s so after going overnight solid,
you can expect that there will be significant challenge with
reduced forgiveness.

The benefit is that the cold stabilizes terrain loss from thaw,
but there’s a bit of a time squeeze factor now because the
heat generated super soft only has 2 weeks left to show up
to be enjoyed before the season closes. As a consequence,
Soft Spring Sous Bois fans need to be aware to plan for, and
to be prepared to quickly jump into action for, a relatively
brief end-of-season window that should have a lot more
than average coverage and quality due to the preceding,
extended, late season coolness.

:) Bring Back The Memories... Research Future Visits...
If you would like to look up dates you visited Tremblant, or you
want to research days/weeks/months to visit, you can sample what
they look like historically, month by month, year by year.

When reviewing dates from any of the past, numbered, archived pages,
you can use the “Previous Topic" or "Next Topic" buttons, located
screen far right, in upper date/message bar to scroll through sequential
dates, or use your browsers "back" button to stay on the selected index
page for non-sequential date reviews in either forward or reverse order.

There are approximately 6, 25 day Index pages per season.

 If you “Bookmark" the link above, it will always take you to the
First index page with the latest posts. That gives you an immediate,
current to 25 day past, review scroll of Winter Alpine Conditions by
consecutive date.
