Winter Hangs In For One More Big Dip.

Please Note:

The stability of Sub-Zero C’s over elevations
today is one of the most significant indicators
of what may be very high quality genuine Winter
groomed conditions for what will be open tomorrow.
Grooming conducted over sequential days, even if
it’s only 2, of below zero C’s, ALWAYS elevates both
scope and quality.

Conditions Notes:

In The Groomed:

Where Mountain Op’s was able to do grooming
after the temp’s at elevations dropped below
freezing, there should be very fine real winter
high performance corduroy with good speed
and lateral edge grip. The Green’s and Blue’s
will have the most favour as their more gentle
slope-angles are less prone to both icy bits
and the displacement of the finished, loose
snow top layers.

There will be firm overtones, however the traffic
is light so we think the wear factors will be almost
negligible and because it is the last day of the
Easter Holiday long weekend, there is a very good
chance that the afternoon will seem like a “Private
Club” day as the regional commuters head back to
“Theirville" early to get ready for the work/school week.

Today is a prime candidate for locating/identifying
“Sweet Spots” that suit your skills/style and doing
many repeats for both fitness and finesse training
development.

In The Sous Bois/Hors Piste/Glades and Un-Groomed:

There is a special sensitivity in this group today as
is evident with the declaration in the Official Snow
Report that states: "The Edge side of the mountain
will be closed today as it was heavily impacted by
the recent rain.”

As a consequence of the “Laws Of Physics” applied
to zones of au Natural snowpack with well established
patterns of descent wear, there are elevated challenges
and less forgiveness as a consequence of what may
have been formerly soft wet and pliable, now being
largely froze in place and this is causing obviously
significant closures.

Where open(i.e. Windigo)... genuine Expert skills and
experience are required, along with speed cautions on
all initial explorations.

Respect and obey all Ski Patrol hand posted signage,
your safety is paramount.

:) Bring Back The Memories... Research Future Visits...
If you would like to look up dates you visited Tremblant, or you
want to research days/weeks/months to visit, you can sample what
they look like historically, month by month, year by year.

When reviewing dates from any of the past, numbered, archived pages,
you can use the “Previous Topic" or "Next Topic" buttons, located
screen far right, in upper date/message bar to scroll through sequential
dates, or use your browsers "back" button to stay on the selected index
page for non-sequential date reviews in either forward or reverse order.

There are approximately 6, 25 day Index pages per season.

 If you “Bookmark" the link above, it will always take you to the
First index page with the latest posts. That gives you an immediate,
current to 25 day past, review scroll of Winter Alpine Conditions by
consecutive date.
