Conditions Notes:

Generally:

The main thing is the new snow... after that there
are innumerable early wild cards because of the temps
bing just above or just below Zero C depending on
where you’re at on the trail network.

We’re seeing temperature inversions where it’s
warmer up top, cooler on the bottom, warmer
in the middle than either top or bottom, then...
a whole other complete mixup on the other side,
so going from Sud/South to Nord/North, to Soleil,
can all have unique variability, at least to start with.

If, if, if... there’s enough solar energy to overcome
all the Zero C tipping points, we could see pure, warm
spring snow ski conditions with more overall consistency
by and following somewhere around 11:00 AM.?

The opening point of todays reporting is that the new
snow is 95% of what you need to know, which is a very
important distinction when regional ground levels got
mostly rain. The other 5% is that because of the temp
dynamics affecting localized surface characteristics,
you need to be ready with cat-like reflex’s for anything
underfoot and to identify and work with the challenges
or conditions patterns that best suit your abilities

Bottom lines are that there are extraordinarily fine and
durable coverages, almost to mid-winter scope,
there are vast tracts of very fine groomed conditions,
there are sweet spots of excellence all over the place,
exceptional adventure in the Sous Bois, it’s fantastic
for any April 11 historic comparison.
