12/13/10 Conditions

Post by T360 »

.

It will seem quiet today after all the weekend action.

A Tremblant "Private Club" day...

We may have "Spring for a day", as temps rise just above
freezing by a degree.

20 open trails on this mornings list, split equally between
South and North, North Side only, open Top to Bottom.
South Side open down to TGV as dismantling of 24Hour
infrastructure taking place on Johannsen.
This week starts Mountain opening 'til 3:30 at the base level and
3:45 at TGV and Lowell Thomas.

Very easy mild conditions over a brand new fresh snow base
that we expect will be perfectly groomed. We did get some
rain for a while, particularly on the South Side. The web cam
views this morning show some wet bits at the foot of Johannsen,
however, the Summit seems to have gotten through the night
with snow in the trees, which is always a good sign.

"Snow in the trees", a sure sign that our summit has retained
realatively good conditions.

For all those who enjoy the healthy, therapeutic benefits of
a day outdoors with vigorous exercise, loads of fresh air and
fine alpine views, today will be a superb training day.
Light traffic on the Mountain means you can do training laps
that allow you to focus on technique development. In other words,
a great day to practice getting better. We encourage everyone to
try to make every day on the Mountain just a bit better than the
last, constantly attempting improvement.

One of the benefits of the 24 Hour Children's Charity Fundraiser
for all Tremblant users is the instant addition of very high quality
open terrain that was beautifully prepared for the event.
"The Morning After" effect, so to speak. For those here today,
it should be pretty much clear sailing anywhere you want to go
within the open trails.

One of the reasons we'll have such great conditions
today is because of all the work that was done to
accommodate this kind of high speed night action!

Watch your speed as you explore the Mountain this morning, after
such a mixed bag of weather factors over the last 48 hours,
there could be natural glitches here and there that deserve
caution. Verify safe passage before you go ripping around and
keep an eye out for beginners or visitors that are new to the area.

Experienced Tremblant Skiers and Boarders
are highly adaptable.

Rapidly fluctuating weather factors will present
challenges in surface characteristics.

Todays conditions will be very enjoyable
for those with properly waxed and tuned
equipment, as well as a positive outlook
and patience.
