from BOTH the direct solar energy as well as the massive reflective
potential of all the white, snowy surfaces that send the rays back up
from the surface.
Protect your eyes too! Use verified U.V. and Infra-red screening lenses
in either goggles or glasses to protect your vision!

All the fresh snow we got here over the last 2 to 3 weeks is
still mostly in place. Wind, Drifting and Shade have favoured
snow retention on the North Side to a degree, but all of Tremblant
that is open is in very fine shape.
All this abundant late season snow has been a fantastic addition to
the base and we are predicting that there will be great conditions
right up to closing as a result. An additional factor that we think will
continue to positively effect Spring conditions is the seasons history
of quite cold nights with temps that got down to -36C several times,
but more frequently were in the mid-minus 20's C.
All those nice cold nights put the frost very deep into the Mountain
and its gigantic mass will hold on to that deep frost for many, many days
acting as an ambient cold storage that will enhance the durability
of all the Alpine surfaces.
The Trail Count can be expected to go up and down at this time of the
season as Mountain Crews try to maintain and preserve terrain to
maximize both durability and quality for the remaining 4 weekends and
the weeks in between.
A welcome return to cooler temps and sunny skies will greet all who
are out today for the start of the Tremblant Spring Season featuring
the reconfigured Telus "Spin" Festival which is now the Telus
"SikWam" Spring event.
