68(*) Open Trails on the Brilliantly Sunny,
and Picture Perfect sides of Tremblant!
The Sweet Spots Of Spring Are Here!
The flawless surfaces of "First Tracks" await those
keen people who like to see the sun rise on a perfect
Tremblant day. A cool -8C overnight, rising quickly to around +3 C or so...
Moderate North-West breezes will be coming up Nansen and moving
across the summit towards Duncan, but with all the thermal energy
of the sun, not only should it generate heat, but the views will be
absolutely picture perfect!
Yesterday in Apres Ski notes we said...
"Spring Knocks On The Door At Tremblant!"
We hope this pic conveys the essence of an early spring day where
the heat can be seen and felt, because that's exactly what we had
yesterday and what we'll have today. If you have fresh edges, the carving at Tremblant is wonderful.
As the day progresses, it definitely got softer, and it will do that
again today.
Here are some "Edge Set" demo pic. samples of what you'll find
at Tremblant today.
Power Carving with excellent grip within all open terrain.
This one's on Geant. Power Carving on the Nansen Pitch was nothing less than thrilling
as traction was impeccable, enough that you could literally lean
sideways off your edges while holding clean, carved turns. The quality
of the surfaces allows grip at the highest levels possible and the
exercise is better than any gym on the planet.
South, North, no matter where you go at Tremblant, with
properly tuned equipment, you've got grip.
Flying Mile was not only great carving during the day, but
as the sun worked on it, there was a neat "Shred" factor as well. If you're not planing to Ski or Board Tremblant,
you've got the wrong plans!
