Super Demo Day Today!
See detail below.
Here's a sample of a Trail we expect to seen soon added
to the Open list, Rigodon, on the North Side, as it makes
its way down to the Lowell Thomas Triple Chair Loading Zone. This pic above was taken earlier this week. It looks differently
now after the recent little "warm" incident, but non-the-less, you
can see the kind of base that has been developing here. This run
is on the SnowMaking list as shown below and when it does open
it will be in very fine shape.
Real Winter Weather !!!!
Temps starting out this A.M. at -12C will seem like the
genuine Winter thing and it will be critical to have all
potential air gaps sealed around wrists, waist, neck, head and
any other area that heat can escape from, or cold can reach.
Winds should be moderate from the Nor-West, coming up
the P'tit Bonheur sector, then across the Summit towards Soleil.
While they are not a huge velocity, at these temps you will feel
them if gaps are not eliminated.
Conditions Caveat:
The vast majority of surfaces will have high traction levels, but...
....the base will be extremely "Fast" this morning due
to a rapid decrease in temps following a short, "damp'
incident that ended yesterday. Surfaces will be a very
fine machine granular with a small fresh, natural overnight
snow, but there may be areas with a slick or icy substrate
or layer beneath.
Caution and Speed control in areas that you are newly exploring
is recommended, prior to ripping around, particularly at Trail
intersections, on steeper pitches, over blind crests, or where
there's lots of traffic.
