power and logistics, slopes of Tremblant.
We say restoring logistics because based on nothing other
than observation, the Edge sector which was all set to open
is not on the list this morning and we know for sure it's not
due to a lack of snow!
That means it's got to be a problem associated with the
mechanical/electrical systems. Considering there were,
and may even continue to be, power outages and/or
interruptions both regionally and locally from the heavy
volume of snow, we think that's a very probable reason
for the glitches Tremblant is experiencing.
"Stay Calm Everyone...."
Tremblant has taken a fair amount of "heat" or criticism in the social media
over some of the operational glitches encountered with this massive storm
system that has buried a large degree of Eastern North America on it's path
from the Gulf of Mexico U.S. Coast, right on up to Newfoundland.
This storm has been a lot bigger than many imagined and it has caused
millions of people everything from minor inconvenience to accidental death.
No one tries harder than the Tremblant Crews to keep as much of the Mountain
On-Line, so when a huge Continental-wide extreme winter weather event
happens and we experience a few glitches along the way, "we" need to
be patient.
Some people have been upset over the issues resulting, time, trouble
and money, but the complaints are all in hindsight.
We think it's fair to point out that "In The Moment", no one knows:
A) What delays may occur
B) How complex the solutions may be
C) How long the delays may be
D) How quickly every aspect can be resolved
E) Any other dimensions of unforeseen scenario's
you can think of.
Total Predictability Is Impossible With Mother Nature
So Give'em A Break! ...and a chance to react.
Let's keep in mind...
It's a Ski Resort...
There's "Too much Snow"
We should actually feel, lucky, blessed and very understanding.
If everybody on your street, your town, city, province, state,
Coastal Region, or Continental Zone has 4 feet of snow dumped
in their collective driveways/roads etc., it's gunna take a while
to dig out.
So, take a deep breath and don't panic.

So Give'em A Break! ...and a chance to react.
Of course, if there are specific issues that you feel need to be covered
with Tremblant Resort Personnel, contact them directly via the
Customer Service Contacts found on Tremblant.ca, but please keep
in mind that extreme weather places extraordinary stress on
everything and everyone.
In the mean-time all the rest of us serious Tremblant fans are "Over The Moon"
Happy to have this "Too Much Snow" "Problem" which is not a problem at all.
We're ecstatically happy to be "Forced" into finding ways to
cope with "Too Much Snow" !!!
Excusez-Moi. Go Find This. Powder Sample....
We can tell you for a fact that Mountain Crews will
be working as fast as possible with the resources they have
to get as much terrain open as soon as possible.
In the mean-while, hit the slopes at Tremblant and figure
out how to cope with all the enjoyment and benefits of
"Too Much Snow"!!!
Today's Weather was supposed to see a return to sunny, with
cool temp's.
We got the cool temp's at -11C, but so far, no sun yet. It is brighter
in the West though, and it may or may not clear out, but the blizzard
dimension snow has stopped and there should be a more typical
early winter pattern for the next 2 weeks the way they're seeing it
now with a long term mix of sun and light snow.
The winds are currently from the West, coming up the Mountain
on Beauvallon/McCulloch at moderate speeds, so not too hard to deal
with, easy compared to some of the recent wind blasting, but at these
temps with no solar energy, maximum comfort will be enhanced with
everything zipped up and maybe an extra layer.
