89(*) Open Trails on 3 sides of Tremblant ... featuring....
It's not fancy....
It's not exotic....
But No April Foolin'....
We think it's just about the best we could hope for when
the overnight forecast said rain, but the Weather Warnings said...
"Snow Squalls"
This is all you need to know.
Go skiing, go boarding... and make the very best you can
out of this final, Official, Full week of this season!
Sorry for very late start to report today... Month end chores deferred
to ski as much of March as possible are piling up!
More later... just go!
Here's a reminder why yesterday was such a spectacular Spring Skiing Day...
Even the visiting Racers are taking time to make runs on the Open Terrain
that's just too tempting to miss.
These Stars of future Ski Racing demonstrate superb skills and this very
accomplished Skier pictured here almost effortlessly carved right through
the middle of the deep afternoon moguls of the McCulloch Main Pitch.
Below: The Moguls that develop quickly as soon as surfaces soften require
focus and absolute speed control for all recreational skiers/boarders.
Excessive speed in these mogul'd areas can result in an upward launch into
the air, sometimes with not-so-great results...
Another thing to watch out for is this example below. These signs have been
posted at the entrance to Soleil for quite a while... pay attention. We get
negative feedback from un-observant people who either ignore them or
don't take them seriously, but they are put there because they mean exactly
what they say. See Screen Left...
T360 "Adjust on the Fly Techniques Rule"... in Spring skiing. There are just
soooo many variables. Don't get hung up on expectations, explore
carefully to find the best winter lines...
Tremblant Rules of Skiing, No.6 ...
"Those that can adapt the quickest, have the most fun!!!"
Sharp Edges Caveat: Yesterday was "Spring", today "Winter"....
you'll need your Tremblant edges to maximize enjoyment and utility,
today and next.

Please Note: At the time of our original posting, the Open
Trail count was 89(*). The attached is a second, later version,
showing 2 trails closed from earlier.
Please Also Note: Extremely variable Weather patterns, including
Environment Canada Warnings for this area today, can mean changes
without notice due to safety or other weather related issues. It's been a wildly exciting Spring so far, way above average
open terrain and excellent coverage.
All things considered, and compared to most or average "Spring"
seasons, there are far fewer glitches than would normally be
expected.
Do not miss this exceptional opportunity to experience Spring Tremblant
at its very best!

they look like historically, month by month, year by year.
GoTo: Archive, Search Reports by Date: Index: http://tinyurl.com/yktelmu
When reviewing dates from any of the past, numbered, archived pages,
you can use the "Previous Topic" or "Next Topic" buttons, located
screen far right, in upper date/message bar to scroll through sequential
dates, or use your browsers "back" button to stay on the selected index
page for non-sequential date reviews in either forward or reverse order.
There are approximately 6, 25 day Index pages per season.
(

First index page with the latest posts. That gives you an immediate,
current to 25 day past, review scroll of Winter Alpine Conditions by
consecutive date.)
