T360 Evening Apres Ski Introduction @ 10:24 P.M.
Please Note: Additional Apres Ski, attached below in “Reply”.
Sorry for the delay in this update. We underestimated the
additional time that a 5:00 P.M. “Last Run” would take,
and it turns out that we got to Ski Last Run at 5:15 at
the TGV Quad due to the fact that the Gondola is off-line,
so with Flying Mile Open ’til 5:00, they are allowing
those who may catch Last Run there, additional time
at TGV for those who need to go to Versant Nord, North.
The Skiing is Excellent Frosted Spring. There is still
snow in the Summit Trees at Last Run.

There are parties at almost every corner, and the atmosphere
is exuberant and enthusiastic. How could it be anything else
with Sooooo much snow here!
“Soooo Much Snow”???

Above:
This is the second time in 48 hours we have found ambient Trail-Side
Snowpack to be between 4 and 5 Feet deep, between 122 and 152 cm’s.
This time in the Nord, North, Lowell Thomas sector. Please Note the Ski
Pole handle pushed straight into the snow. We could submerge it here,
but we leave it just visible for the sake of the picture. The Pole is 122cm’s/48 inches.
Everything Ended Up Soft...

Here Is The Basis For Your Tremblant
Ski Season 2017/2018, Bonus Weekend,
April 21st and 22nd, 2018.
Tremblant360 4/20/18 "Proof Of Beautiful.”:

If you have a picture of Tremblant from any past season
that looks this good on April 20th, please let us know how
we can get a copy from you.
Below:
In yesterday’s prelude to the weekend, we talked about
some unique access situations we had been informed of
due to lift maintenance and construction site safety
regulations. As an example, we used McCulloch access
Via Trail # 17 Dunzee.
Here is a better photograph of Dunzee. It is the Trail running
diagonally from Upper Left, to Lower Right, to join at McCulloch
just below the Summit, and under the TGV Quad Chair.
Please Additionally Note:
Zig-Zag and Vertige Winch Groomed!!!
On April 21st ?!?!?! Wow!
4.20.18.Old.Village.Hillside.Views.Telephoto.Zig.Zag.Vertige.Dunzee.to.McCulloch.d.jpg
This is only one example of the unique access
this Bonus Weekend, due to construction work sites
that necessitate safety restrictions. Stay tuned and
stay in touch with Mountain Info. Ski Crews, it is possible
you may see Open trail numbers go up or down.
Conditions Notes: A)
Will Start Out “Firm”, maybe some “Froze”, but very, very soon...
it will Ski and Shred Like This:
It’s just what can happen when there’s "+6" C in the weather stat’s.
Weather Notes:
We are including both weekend days for planning purposes.
SUNSCREEN ALERT !!!
(Above: Please note our error in graphic alignment.
We accidentally got the 12 hour segments mixed up,
however the data is correct, just diagonally crossed.)
As incredible as it may seem, this is our One.pic Summit forecast scene
for First Tracks today!
Looks Like Winter, Skis Like Winter !!! ... at least until about 2:30 P.M.
This scene above is from the last day with almost exactly what today
looks like, back on April 5th. Absolutely amazing that we should have
such a great run of “Winter” to end the Season with. One for the history
books, for sure. The basic frame of reference here is that this winter is
the second highest Seasonal Accumulation in 21 years of Stat’s we have.
SUNSCREEN ALERT !!!
Conditions Notes: B)
We consider ourselves very, very fortunate to have so much
of Versant Nord, the North Side, “Lowell Thomas” sector open.
This zone is one of the most well endowed natural snow areas
on the entire Mountain due to prevailing wind contour drifting.
Based on what we thought might be restrictions regarding the
New Lowell Thomas High Speed Detachable Quad Chair install,
or more specifically the removal of the old Fixed Triple Chair, we
would have to say that there has been a lot of effort put into
preparing this terrain for Opening. We are most grateful for
that because this sector may not only hold some of the best
conditions today(Banzai and Marie-Claude Asselin GROOMED
on April 21st !!!), but it also stays the coolest and gets early shade,
so those Great conditions there may also be the most “All Day”
durable.
REPEAT From Prelude to Weekend:
Utility Notes:
What we feel very certain predicting, are the hours of the sweetest skiing
being between 9:30 and 2:30, due to the overnight sub-zeros and the
eventual afternoon warming.
For those reasons we are recommending:
1) You have a late breakfast and late lunch so
you do not need to stop when the conditions are ideal.
2) The earlier you start, the more you need sharp edges.
3) Waxing or Base Coatings for “Warm” Range Temps will be
a big asset for Speed and Glide.

So, What Are You Doing This Weekend?
Of course there’s only one answer worth considering...
Ski Tremblant If You Can!!!
Please Note:
Very early post, subject to morning Open Trail Confirmations.
We will publish the statistical data, however due to the complexities
of conditions and access, our primary focus will be on an early
and thorough Apres Ski.

they look like historically, month by month, year by year.
GoTo: Archive, Search Reports by Date: Index: http://tinyurl.com/yktelmu
When reviewing dates from any of the past, numbered, archived pages,
you can use the "Previous Topic" or "Next Topic" buttons, located
screen far right, in upper date/message bar to scroll through sequential
dates, or use your browsers "back" button to stay on the selected index
page for non-sequential date reviews in either forward or reverse order.
