Nice winter day, and great Skiing though...

94(*) Open Trails At Tremblant .... That's 1 short of 100%...
And the 1 short is Trail # 14 Zig-Zag, so we completely understand why...
at least we think we do....
We haven't been there, on the ground, to see it yet, but we
can tell you this...
Skiing La Crete from the Summit, passing the Dunzee, Grand Prix
entrance at 4:06 P.M. yesterday....
The Wind Was A Howling Banshee
That Could Peel You Like A Banana!
Absolutely Awesome Display Of Mother Natures
Unrelenting Power... we estimate that there were
peak wind gusts of over 100 KMPH...
Close your eyes and imagine...
Riding on the Nose of a 747 flying through a Blizzard...
That's how it felt...
Wow!!!!
So then, we think there's a pretty good chance that Zig-Zag
may have have "Issues" related to facing the wind for so many
hours, let alone the few seconds we could stand being there.
This is our current file shot of Zig-Zag, taken 3 weeks ago.
From Left to Right, the Trails pictured here are Grand Prix,
Zig-Zag, and Vertige, which is the short one with the moguls.
The neat thing about this pic as it is here today, is that contrary
to The Weather Network Cloud, Overcast, Snow icons actually
shown on their Data this morning, it is not any of those things...
it is brilliantly Sunny, just like this pic., and with the -13 c early temp,
feels like a perfect Mid-January day!

Conditions Caveat:
There may be multiple Slick, Icy, or naturally occurring
glitch zones caused by recent extreme weather factors.
This wil be particularly important on the South.
Use your head... and caution, with regard to speed and
navigation while exploring.
--------------------------------------
Today's Skiing, Boarding...
Versant Nord, the North Side will be the "Sweet Spot" Sector
today, in terms of general conditions, but there will be select, localized
"Sweet Spots" all over the Mountain created by the unpredictable
swirl factors of the wind over land contours on all 4 sides
of Tremblant.
The Weather Picture...
Forecast:
Please Note: Update Timestamp.
